there's a buzz around manila that neil gaiman's coming for a book signing tour! whoa! needless to say i am indeed a fan of this awesome weaver of tales. read most of his novels and graphic novels and daydreamed through most of my highschool and college life that i had his job! yeah, i wasn't originally a daydreaming wannabe photographer. i used to be a daydreaming wannabe comic creator. but alas, i couldnt draw to save my life. and so that's the end of that.

though some dates have been thrown around, nothing definite yet except that he's indeed coming. he said so in his journal.

you have no idea who i'm talking about? geez, where have you been? i'm just kidding. but this guy's been writing about boy wizards way before j.k. rowling came up with "wingardium leviosa"! no offense to rowling fans.

on a photography related note, i have good and bad news! my digital slr is in sickbay! conked out on me after i updated the firmware. i used to despise digital cameras. now, i'm re-learning why. i'm reaffirming my loyalty to film and i just bought a couple of new toys off ebay. will introduce them to you on my next entry.

ps/ can anybody tell me how many hands fell off in the entire star wars saga? the skywalkers seem to have the knack for cutting off hands. i dont know why but i find it funny.

i've had an interesting deviantART week.

last may 9, one of my photos was surprisingly picked out by one of them dA admins (+suzi9mm thanks! ) to be part of the daily feature of art works (or daily deviations). it made my day! thanks to you guys who checked my work out and to those who added me to their watch list and their favorites list. i really really appreciate it. it got me so excited and motivated to try to create more photos to share that i have lined up at least a couple of photo projects for myself and have identified at least a couple of photo opportunities that i may take advantage of. how about that, eh?!

photography is fun!

here's hoping to meet more artists out there! dont be strangers, deviants! see you around!

i welcome myself to deviantART! yey!

i've resolved to add at least one new deviation per week for as long as i live and am now painfully planning for more photo projects so i can maintain such resolution. i say painfully because i do have a day job and the demands of it usually keeps me from doing passionate photography. hopefully, deviantART would motivate me to try harder.

to those who checked my work out in my first couple of weeks as being a deviant, thank you! your passion for your respective arts is a source of inspiration and motivation for me.
